From dawn to dusk!

From dawn to dusk!

Sunshine beckons me to reach its zenith

waking up from a lazy slumber of my bygone days

I get up to see Dusk almost arrived

hazy contours of orange melting into grey

my feet feel like feathers I begin to fly

I grow some more around my shoulders

I flip those and soar higher with every gush of wind

step by step and with every single move

I feel myself free from the curses of blues

I know one day the greatest of evenings

will cherish my thoughts and christen me

names I have known so far do belong to me

yet I wait for another tree

which will be heaven for birds of my dreams

I call out aloud I say to you

hey, beautiful morning do come thee

do come with serenity under your wings

for we will soar together in highest skies

will keep soaring higher with no effort involved

will search from the outbreak of the dawn

through the day and find mesmerizing Dusk!

Faith!

Faith

Faith is a matter of believing

believing in you,

believing in your faith in me

and I have full faith in you

faith we have for life destined

faith we express while we traverse through life

faith we keep burning on the hearth of desires

faith while dwindle we rekindle with beliefs

faith is restored the moment we pray

we bow to our beloved and cherish love

the moment we believe unfaithful it becomes our folly

faith gives way to wondrous discoveries

faith has perpetuated into each particle of this universe

faith we take for granted is essence of our existence

faith we express each night in the morning that will come

faith we feel in our hearts while we send away our loved ones

faith God shows in us with every new arrival

faith is our guide when we see light of the day.

dusk arrived

dusk arrived.

The day dragging on tired feet

evening in her parlour

getting dressed up

looking out of the window

and she listened intently

she was all ears when the sound of tapping filled her room

she left her hair half done

and jumped out as the time had come

here he was love of her life

dusk with a luscious smile

his dark robes flying about

his baritone laughter echoing in air

his profound silence pin-drop

his arms outstretched for anyone around

to engulf all who ever loved

who ever had the courage to dare

evening came witheringly walking on tiptoes

one moment passed between two lines drawn on horizon

evening lost herself in his vast enclosure

no traces of her were to be found

only some leftover fragrance

of evening’s disappearing gown

a wine glass with her lips’ marks

one strand of hair that fell on earth

and she closed eyes into oblivion

now it was him.. only him

painting canvas crimson then gray

beautiful hopeful simmering dusk!

Some solace!!!

Solace!!!

Mornings arrive with noons on heels

sun lightens up when hopes fulfil

sweet lores of delicious lives

fills all voids despair leaves

we walk hand in hand in this park

green all around flowers in bloom

there I see a magic crowd

each of us is party to

every face smiling wide

every laughter resonates

till it begins to turn yellow this stark white

oh! the goddess of twilight has been shaken

out of a slumber and she yawns

her beauty stretches far and wide

a wistful smile on her lips

I see her sip sparkling wine

her transparent throat gulps it all

minute by minute second by second

tall glass emptied till the last drop

rests on my windowsill with her lip marks intact

dusk just walks by with a sweeping hallo

here she comes the chief of pleasure queen of sorrows

walking on thin air flying about

making inroads to all broken hearts

and to those who are on the way to be broken

she sweeps time off the balance

minds waver, eyes blur, sharp lines are erased

a swish of her brow turns the town silent

yet there are some lips thirsty

some hearts pounding

waiting for a life of solace.

Some sobs!

Some sobs.

One more of those explosive thoughts

another zing to many lives unexplored

do they believe in tales foretold?

Or they wait for events to happen and unfold

wishes that were and lived in many hearts

hopes that stayed young till not dawned

desires of looted homes beating for their owners

not yet dead still waiting to return in corners

years and years of deprivation of contentment

they wait in shadows for lightening to strike

they wait, it strikes and a hail storm erupts

washes off their hopes drenching them to their skins

they wait for skies to stop ruining them further

they wait with hands upturned towards heavens

crystals of rain washing down their bleeding faces

they have been sobbing and waiting since ages.

Different love!

Different love!

Can the sea be at different levels for different reasons

can the earth pull only those whom it love

can the birds wait to sing till someone plays music

will the flowers decide not to blossom if not seen

can a peacock be gloomy beneath an overcast sky

can the snow fail to fall if a forest is on fire

can the words not hit if coated in sugar

can the stars not shine if clouds stayed in my skies

can the moon ever forget to orbit earth

can the wind come and leave without those fallen leaves

can the storm sit back and watch world go merry round

can the rain stay aloof and not drench that lonely bench

can my ink refuse to write sad songs if I order

can you ever say that you never ever loved me

can my love be different from your love

is it that a woman’s love is different from a man’s?
