fortress!
That first sight of love
skipping of heartbeats
locked eyes hands woven
that first brick of passion
laying of a foundation
layers and layers
of soft murmurs
sweet nothings
kisses that were heavenly
melting of emotions
one by one
step by step
as we moved closer
danced to the tunes
we composed together
every step in unison
salsa of souls!
and one fine day
when the glass slipper broke
it fell in pieces
did any eye sprinkled
a single tear?
Did your very own heart
ache for the loss
that scattered in air?
When passion dies down
when emotions taste their biggest defeat
you are left with a lump
aching through you
something that is minus you
a frightening discovery
for when you encounter a phantom
you are bound to build up
fortresses high around your soul
with emotions that evaded you…

…Hi Dear Pritts…what a creativity you have been endowed with…this is a beautiful love song I must say…recreating the thrills and the inescapable convulsions at the same time…your interpretations keep reminding me of my English teacher Mr Mohan, a young chap in his early thirties who was very fond of John Keats and he read for us ‘Human Seasons’…that was I think in 8th…and he made us understood the romance of Keats … that which did not stop at individuals but moved to the dialogue which they had with their context… and everytime they did this they could get a bit more deep into the essence of being …
…love …love lost…and that encounter with the phantom around the twilight zone where every thing is fluid ..even existence resting on a slippery ground…and we tend to always try and move beyond this…this is a must if we wish not to let go the human seasons…
…it is the pain of the ‘glass slipper broke…’ which should forewarn everyone into not stretching everyting on its seams…’coz for all the living any breaking of and breaking away should be every bit detestable …
…wonderful to see Keats living in you … for the love of love and for the love of the adventure of love … 🙂
thanks.. Prateek! so kind of you to find Keats in my musings.. frankly being a science student myself.. I have never read him.. only heard his name and of course know him to be a great poet.
