Waking up with a jolt

from a midday slumber

I see myself drowned in blues

blues of loneliness

blues of being left alone

blues of being forgotten

blues of being not forgiven

blues I chase away till the farthest corner

blues that return with renewed fervour

blues I know will stay till I die

blues I chose not to abide!
