but remained static
word that got up to express its meaning
word once uttered never returned
word when looked for was never found
word when peeped through was opaque
this one word when it rode your voice
it walked straight into my chamber
here it sits with pretty ignorance
though it knows how precious it is
this one pure word knows no boundaries
this one word speaks all dialects
this one word knows how love melts
this one word knows to kill hatred
this one word caresses mankind
this very single word spoken can never utter lies
this same one word taught me to speak
